Economic Diversification
Contact: bmeenaghan@BBandT.com
The Economic Diversification Committee helps strengthen
and retain existing independent businesses by learning and
sharing information about the existing assets, challenges
and needs of our local business community; the existing
needs and wants of existing and potential customers of our
local businesses; and facilitating collaboration and cross
promotion among businesses.
We have completed surveys of local businesses and customers
and a business packet for prospective businesses, and in
May 2006 are holding our first educational mixer for local
businesses, where they can interact with fellow business
owners and access useful information about local resources,
trends and opportunities. Our first mixer is aimed at Adams
Morgan's daytime businesses.
We work to help increase daytime traffic by distributing
and marketing our Lunch Directory and by promoting our co-sponsorship
of Western Market.
JOIN US! Help us plan future business mixers, analyze or
promote survey results, write articles, collect information
by, about or of interest to local businesses.
The Economic Diversification Committee meets the 2nd Tuesday
of the month at 6:30 p.m (Location TBA)
To volunteer for this committee, send us an email or use the Volunteer form.
