Intent & Purpose: The purpose of restoring and renovating the call boxes of Adams Morgan is to counter graffiti, stylize, and unite thematically with original artwork.  We intend to integrate the project with artists' original work, historic scenes, historic personalities, images of and relating to youth and the use of bright a beautiful color in keeping with Adams Morgan's uniqueness.

Approach: The historic theme of a building, event, activity, or local personalities would be interpreted and created by artists in oil or watercolor or other color-painted medium.  Then, with an AMMG technical consultant, the artwork could be translated into an intaglio steel plate, and then painted and lacquered over. Can be done by AMMG or adopted by other Adams Morgan business or group.
