Adams Morgan Main Street hosted the Very Cherry Pop Up Shop!

The first of its kind in Adams Morgan, this spontaneous art and retail locale at 2421 18th St NW featured some of the area's top artisans.  Local artists had the opportunity to make money and gain new customers.  Visitors attracted to Adams Morgan. In conjunction with the National Cherry Blossom Festival.  Adams Morgan Main Street brought together top talents under one roof to present diversity of artistic expression in unique one-of-kind original fine & whimsical art, photography, 'green' artisans, jewelry, sculpture, pottery, kids'/baby clothing lines, bath, beauty & accessories.  Participants include: Director of the Office of Planning, Harriet Tregoning, the PinkLine Project, and ANC1C.

The 3 week exhibit (lasting from March 27th to April 17th) was a great success! More than 50 original artisans participated, all local - offering hand-made items in all price ranges. Rave reviews came from residents, businesses and visitors.

PN Hoffman graciously donated the space to host this community store and allow visitors to come and support small businesses/ entrepreneurs. A series of events occurred in tandem with the PopUp, such as demos and performances, even story-telling for children.
