Economic Revitalization

Works together with businesses and building owners on business recruitment and retention as well as on general issues to encourage the neighborhood economic growth. We assist new businesses, such as Violet Boutique, in finding space, and work on major projects such as the FCCS- Boutique Hotel project or issues of mitigation of business impacts on the integrated residential community. We, along with others, testified for grants to be given to Adams Morgan small businesses to mitigate the adverse impact of streetscape construction, but succeeded only in obtaining loans.
